Welcome to the Jade Dragon Trading Company!
The Jade Dragon Trading Company is a roleplaying platform that gives merchants a network to sell their wares through. It's a monthly RP event for FCs, individuals, and more to gather, exchange RP, and immerse oneself in the world of Final Fantasy XIV.Stewards and Envoys of the Jade Dragon are volunteers who are willing to facilitate and make the market happen each month.The Jade Dragon Market occurs on the
First Sunday of each monthFCs and individuals interested in holding a stall at the Jade Dragon Market each month should join our discord and look at the "#acquire-a-card" channel to acquire a red card. A lot of flavor has been built around the Jade Dragon Market, but none of it is mandatory to participate.
Market Rules (IC)
No fighting whatsoever. Patrons that break this rule will thrown out by the Keisatsu. Dragon Card Bearers who break this rule will have their cards revoked.
You must be issued a Red or Jade Dragon Card to sell at the monthly market.
As we are a legitimate business, only legal wares that are permitted to be sold in Eorzea are allowed to be brought to the market. Do not bring anything that skirts or violates these rules.
If a Blue or Jade Dragon Card Holder or a Sentry (our security force) asks something of you, please comply.

Please don't fight or be disruptive. Behavior has to run on the honor system, but continued misbehaving will result in disciplinary action.
Illegal goods are allowed, but must be kept undercover. All of our businesses are completely legitimate, so yours must look that way too. The Keisatsu patrol and enforce the legitimacy of our businesses (but yes, you are allowed to fool them).
While there is no limit on how many Red cards may be issued, there is a limit to the number of stalls at the monthly market. First come, first served.

What goods does the Jade Dragon provide?A curated list of categories. The Jade Dragon's real product is the Merchants it provides for. Thus, the Jade Dragon only fulfills custom orders. It has very little stock on hand. These goods include:

Dragon Cards
Those who wear the Dragon Cards are the lifeblood of the trade company. Their roles are centered around advancing the entrepreneurial pursuits.Each is given a colored card to denote their role. This card is a permit that allows through or for the Jade Dragon Trading Company. There is a certain amount of buy-in to become a shonin. These amounts are listed below.

Stewards of the Jade DragonBearers of a Blue Dragon Card are employed by the Jade Dragon to manage the general affairs of the business, to sell its general wares and services, to initiate new Merchants with a Red Dragon Card, and to assist Red Card Merchants with any needs.

The Jade Dragon can be demanding in its employment. Stewards have the smallest buy-in because they also possess the least risk, but they are also not required to have their own business or product like their Red and Jade Dragon Card counterparts. A Steward's Dragon Card is unlikely to be revoked, except in the case of extended absences.

Council Member of the Jade DragonBearers of a Jade Dragon Card become Envoys of the Jade Dragon. Sometimes own their own business not unlike the Red Dragon Card holders. They sit on the Jade Dragon's Board and have a controlling interest in the company's business.

Bhaduri Consortium
The Jade Dragon Trading Company was once owned by a young, enterprising raen whose family hailed from Sui-no-sato, named Tsumiko Oshiga. Given some trouble regarding her family, Tsumiko has sold the Black Card of the Jade Dragon to a woman more experienced and mature on matters of trade and business, a Hannish citizen by the name of Ishani Bhaduri, the owner of a trading consortium based in Radz-at-han.Ishani Bhaduri has nearly twenty years of experience bartering and trading many valuable hannish commodities, not limited to silk, spices, and the numerous colorful minerals that give Radz-at-han its vibrance. The consortium is not involved with the production of any of these goods, but rather putting them to market. She inherited a single stall in the vivid, chromatic streets of Radz-at-han when she was 15 from her late father, and made it bloom.
Now the Bhaduri Consortium is taking its trade practices beyond the shores of Thavnair as Ishani formally acquires the Black Card of the Jade Dragon Trading Company.The Consortium, as the majority controller of the Jade Dragon through the Black Card, now employs a variety of Shonin, or merchants, traders, and administrator who see to the company's operations. Despite the company's Othardian origins and theme, Ishani has chosen to maintain the imagery of the company to keep it familiar. Even when the Jade Dragon was owned by the former Hisui Princess, it was still headquartered in Radz-at-han, thus making the transition into Ishani's hands seamless.The Jade Dragon does offer its own supply chain of goods and products handpicked and sourced by the Corsortium, but the bulk of its services and revenue come from opening its network to other merchants and traders.
